Matching Pair of TURNED WOODEN FINIALS with Threaded Dowel Rods -- 6 Inches Tall

What we are offering here is a matching pair of wooden finials, suitable for use on bed posts or a bureau, or use your imagination. They are both about 6" in total length, divided equally between the turned tops and the threaded dowel rods, and a little over 1-1/2" in diameter at the widest point. The threaded rods are about half an inch in diameter. The tops have been polished or waxed, but I don't know what kind of wood they are. I also don't know how old they are - this design could easily date back to the Victorian era or earlier. Although I have called them a "matching" pair, the pointed tips are not quite identical (one is noticeably thicker than the other), which is a probable indication that they were turned by hand and not factory made. Also, both of the tips look to be less sharp than they originally were, so I'm guessing they must have got chipped at some point in time.
